     You are the best poet I have read on sulekha; I could expand that comment to a much wider world -- how wide, I'm not sure, because at present I can't remember when or where I read a better poet -- aside from those already famous as such. Unlike most who attempt writing poetry, you rise far above the common doggerel. You have the inherent class to have not abandoned rhyme, as all the trendy have done, and whose poetry usually flounders. Your sense and choice of rhyme is impeccable, as is your style and imagery. With your versifying talent combined with musical ability, you could be a good songwriter -- but you probably knew that already. Congratulations. -- GF

    That was a nicely written little vignet. Thank you. I play a blues harmonica solo over Maestro B's Moonlight Sonata; using the piano part as a continuo. it works quite well. I conceptualize 'modern music' as starting with Debussy, with Beethoven's 9th as the outstanding anomolous exception.Some other favorite 9th Symphonies: Mahler's, Vaughan Williams' , and Shubert's. My favorite composers: Debussy, Ravel, Rachmanivov, Hindemith, Stravinski, Vaughan Williams, John Adams, and Toru Takemitsu -- but not necessarily in that order.   -- GF
